Corosolic acid as a white amorphous powder (methanol), soluble in petroleum ether, benzene, chloroform, pyridine and other organic solvents, insoluble in water, soluble in hot ethanol, methanol. In anhydrous conditions, with a strong acid (sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, perchloric acid), in strong acid (TCA), or Lewis's acid (zinc chloride, aluminum chloride, antimony trichloride) effect, there will be color reaction or fluorescence.
